What are your policies, terms, and conditions?

Please refer to our separate sheet showing our policies, terms, and conditions for details.

The minimum purchase value is set at USD3,200/SGD4,300/HKD25,000 for natural gemstones and jewellery only. Purchases below the limit are subject to Joahinia Jewellery’s discretion. For lab-grown diamonds and synthetic gemstones and jewellery, minimum purchase value does not apply

We can typically deliver within 14 business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays in Hong Kong) from the date we receive your advance payment, deposit, or sourcing fee. This timeframe is subject to the availability of complete jewellery information provided and confirmed by you.

  • To facilitate easy price comparisons with our business associates, we primarily use 18K White, Yellow, or Rose Gold. We generally recommend against Platinum unless specifically requested by you.
  • 18K Gold signifies 75% pure gold. Please note that the total jewellery value may be influenced by daily gold price fluctuations.

Joahinia Jewellery specializes in providing professional sourcing services to our customers. Therefore, we do not offer any online purchase items. This approach helps to avoid “emotional purchases,” a common pitfall for end-users.

We will provide you with high-quality photos and/or 360-degree videos via WhatsApp to help you visualize your desired piece. We will also share relevant gemstone certificates (if applicable and available).

  • If you require us to deliver the gemstone or gemstone jewellery to your destination country, either directly to you or through our designated supply chain partners, an advance sourcing fee will be required.
  • The sourcing fee covers our efforts and is calculated at 1/3 of the total jewellery value. This fee is essentially a special discount deducted from the jewellery value as stated on the commercial invoice issued by Joahinia Jewellery or our designated supply chain partners in your local country.

Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds produced in a controlled laboratory environment using advanced technological processes that replicate the natural conditions under which diamonds form deep within the Earth.

The key difference lies in their origin, not their composition or properties.

  • Natural Diamonds: Formed over billions of years under immense heat and pressure deep within the Earth’s mantle.
  • Lab-Grown Diamonds: Grown in a matter of weeks or months using processes like High-Pressure/High-Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD).

Crucially, lab-grown diamonds possess the same chemical, physical, and optical properties as natural diamonds. They are both pure carbon in a cubic crystal structure. Sophisticated gemological testing is required to distinguish between them.

Synthetic gemstones are created in a laboratory and have essentially the same chemical composition, crystal structure, and physical properties as their natural counterparts (like ruby, emerald, and sapphire).

Similar to lab-grown diamonds, the primary difference is their origin:

  • Natural Gemstones: Formed over geological timescales within the Earth through various natural processes involving specific elements, heat, and pressure.
  • Synthetic Gemstones: Created in a controlled laboratory environment, mimicking the natural conditions required for their formation.

While they share the same fundamental properties, there can sometimes be subtle differences in trace element composition or growth patterns that expert gemologists can identify. However, to the naked eye, and often even under standard gemological equipment, high-quality synthetic gemstones can be virtually indistinguishable from natural ones.
